If you take a quick look at the 2nd photo, below, you would be forgiven for assuming it was taken near Hawaii or some tropical island with a history of intimidating waves…
Well, the area is actually off shore from Donegal Bay, in the Republic of Ireland! Although weather warnings had been broadcast, Duncan Scott and friends had already experienced towing each other out into huge waves, and decided to give it a shot.

And here is a shot of one of them; some of the footage shot may be used in a film (Waveriders (I’m guessing the film’s crew expertise lie in the waves, not original titles)) next year.
