I wanted to post some videos of Anna and a few more pictures tonight, but either YouTube’s upload service is slow tonight, or Pipex’s performance isn’t top notch once again when it comes to expected vs. delivered speeds. Anyway, it is just a few moments past midnight here, meaning that in just over five hours (I think the time that appears on these posts may be set to Kazakhstan still), Anna will be exactly one year old! I’ll try to write more on this later, and eventually get the photos up, but for now, I just wanted to say a big HAPPY BIRTHDAY Anna! It barely seems plausible that this time last year I was about to head home whilst Irina waited for Anna to be ready to make an entrance, and that after a few hours, the fastest ever Clydach>Swansea hospital journey I had ever made was achieved!

Quiet Arrivals
Almost a week with no posts! As you may have guessed, I, Irina and Anna all arrived in Britain safely last Friday. Our car is back on the road, various gadgets have been fixed/sorted at Mum’s, and we are starting to arrange seeing people across the country. It is Anna’s first birthday this Sunday, so we also need to sort a card and some presents. Speaking of presents, I’m looking at getting a Seagate 500gb Portable Hard Drive

Anna Behaves Well
We hadn’t originally planned to have a lot of friends over for Irina’s birthday this year, but quite a few turned up whilst we were at the in-laws’ house. Anyway, here we have a short clip of Anna and friends taken on the 31st of January. Anna behaved very well considering all the faces around her, and the attention she was given. We just hope she behaves as well back in Britain. Speaking of which, we’ll be in Istanbul in less than 24 hours now!

Noisy Smiles
Anna And Irina Smiling Together
This was shot on the 22nd of January, and is just a nice picture of Irina and Anna smiling together on an armchair. You can see the mini Christmas tree still up in the background, though I don’t think it survived until Ira’s birthday. Excuse the low quality around the armchair fabric – the original has a lot more noise, for some reason our camera, even with a decent amount of lighting available, doesn’t like the fabric/colour of our living room furniture!

Happy Birthday Irina!
Today is Irina’s birthday, and I just wanted to write a quick note wishing her to have the best of days. Since we first met, we have got to know each other better, and yet you still want to be with me! Seriously, from Anna and me, we hope your day is filled with joy, that you like your card (Anna’s first attempt at assisted writing 🙂 ), and that the coming year brings you happiness and health.
The joy you bring into the lives of people you know is unbounded, and I just hope that some of the good feeling you create is reflected back towards you.

I’ve stopped at the point where search terms only bought me less than 10 visitors since I installed the plugin. You can see from the list that the sonic focus drivers error message that I encountered a long time ago are by far and away the biggest crowd pulled, closely followed by the floods in Gloucestershire (specifically Tewksbury) back in 2007. That second one is all down to Irina spotting some photos online that other people seem to find interesting, I guess.
