Now another bastion of Britishness has been discovered to have dodginess occurring with phone in competitions.
Check here for Blue Peter’s eventual admission of guilt.

This time, GMTV, a morning TV program in Britain has been discovered to be using a company with disreputable business practices.
Viewers who called the competition hotline were charged premium rates, even when the winners had been selected – the phone lines stayed open, even though the company had no intention of letting the later callers ever possibly win!

Whilst most of the questions have been asked before, it was interesting to see them all in one place, without too much paranoid delusional stuff inserted.
I don’t happen to think all the questions are related as closely as some would hope, but most are at least thought provoking, and will hopefully spark some interest for you to continue your research sometime…

I found these whilst taking a break from doing work tonight…
In no particular order…

This made me think of my student digs when I was at Bournemouth.

Penultimately, we have a site to let you know just how much management speak, buzz word & general BS a site contains. Luckily, this site currently scores incredibly lowly.

Finaly, on a more serious note, we have this report on just how insecure the new ‘secure’ UK passports are. Biometric data and RFID chips sound good, but don’t necessarily result in your ID being any safer at all.
