Just realized that I didn’t grab any photos during the meal we had over at Dan’s last weekend, sorry. It was the first time we’d been to their place, and they cooked up a lovely dish of (arrrgh, forgotten the word, something Mexican where you wrap food in a tortilla?? (Enchiladas?). Anyway, if you look a couple of posts back, this Dan is the one referred to in the photo as the ‘other’ Dan. I’ll have to come up with a proper naming convention at some point – this could get complicated otherwise… So, lovely meal, great evening, great company and adorable kids running running around (just wish we’d remembered to grab some batteries for their toys 🙁 ).

Congratuation, enchiladas was the correct name of the Mexican dish !! As for the naming convention of Dans in Astana we’ll have a think about that one, we could be simple and go for number 1 and number 2, whoever was born first, but that’s kinda dull I think ! Plus, er batteries, I think laws need to be introduced so that the manufacturer’s include them already, what do you think !!

For now, I’m sticking to the convention used in my phonebook – Shymkent Dan and Non-Shymkent Dan 🙂
re. batteries, it could be the chemicals in them make transport more complicated when it comes to cross-border freight?

Or we could do what I found best in the past – I’m ChrisM for example, with friends who are ChrisB, ChrisD, ChrisK etc.
