Final post for today, I’ll stop polluting your RSS reader/twitter stream/facebook news for now 🙂
This is a YouTube video of a song that has had English subtitles added. Not normally my favourite style of music necessarily, but Ira skyped the URL earlier, so I had a look. What do you think?

Intersting. It’s always strange seeing foreign lyrics in English; they seem to read funny, not like what you would put in an English song.

I think part of it is the translation – you can easily fit English words into a song that mean the same thing as another set of lyrics, but one would sound like a perfect match, whilst the other would seem disjointed.
Lets her hair hanging
like weeds turn
Mrs. Greengrass
…
Greengrass for women
puff trees turn tangerine
The sky suddenly puff green
your eyes breath in a state of mind
is starting to fly
… …
In any case, wind is not so important for me to I
…
Mama, do not want to make you cry
So what did you think of the yellow steppe song?
