Raiding and Inspecting Religious Groups Begins
So as the end of the year approaches, I’m looking at all the articles I bookmarked or starred on Google Reader and tweets I favorited and then never blogged on. I’m going to try to make up for that. So here’s one on the first victims of the new religion law: Alleged Extremist Materials Confiscated from a mosque in South Kazakhstan.
Apparently having two printers and a computer and laptop are suspicious and newsworthy. Or printing lots of religious materials! Wow, the Catholic Church near my parents’ house would be in real trouble then.
Cept you never hear about catholic nuns blowing people up!!
I agree. You never hear bad things about Catholics.
I certainly never heard much about this. And the fact that priest rape and molest little boys made a bit of news, but not the huge cover up or the fact that most of those priests were never punished.
Don’t even start with the only Muslims are bad argument.
not to be anti-catholic, but there have, in fact, been two strongly catholic terrorists groups in recent history, the IRA and the ETA. I don’t think either ever used nuns to set off bombs, but it’s not like I can think of any imams who were bombers either.
so jeffry, if you’re going to come up with an islamaphobic quip, please try to come up with a better one.
