I Know Kazakhs Like Meat But This is Ridiculous
Another translation fail!
Bought this at Ramstor the other day. It’s a pack of Gillette razor blades for the Mach 3 razor. Now I know that consumer protection is very important, and I’m grateful that items are being labeled with safety information but whoever put this particular warning label on wasn’t very bright. In case you can’t read the text, of the warning label, it says:
Safe Handling Instructions
This product was prepared from inspected and passed meat and/or poultry. Some food products may contain bacteria that could cause illness if the product is mishandled or cooked improperly. For your protection follow these safe handling instructions.Keep refrigerated or frozen. Thaw in refrigerator or microwave.
Keep meat and poultry separate from other foods. Wash working surfaces, containers, cutting boards, utensils and hands after touching meat or poultry.
Cook thoroughly.Keep hot foods hot. Refrigerate leftovers immediately or discard.
All very reassuring when I buy meat and see this label. On my razor blades not so good. For one thing, meat doesn’t keep a sharp edge very well. For another, I don’t have time to thaw my razor blades every morning and then cook them before using. Let alone to wash my face after shaving!
Don’t make light of this situation, I caught a really bad case of E Coli from a cheap pack of razors I bought in Almaty. I was bed ridden and bearded for days.
And I once got razor burn from a pork rib.
