Product placement can sometimes get a little excessive. Ira and I were watching the recent Garfield film (I hope Billy Connolly had big bills to pay last year or something, his character really could have been played by any number of average actors…). Anyway I’m digressing already, at one point the camera pans around, and stops to a couple of Pepsi cans are in focus, dominating the whole frame. There weren’t even any characters drinking at the time, it just seemed so forced. Anyway, whether it be trainers made by Nike golf clubs that cost an arm and a leg, or simply contextual links, I’m up for offers ![]()

Whilst I am no lover of Putin’s tactics, he strikes me as being no less corrupt than the rest of the bastards. It is just that they are more slimey, or have more convoluted systems for hiding their ways. Just take a hard look at America’s stance on global warming. They all are only interested in sort term gain, and have no respect for the people they represent, or the future of this fragile planet. Who was it that said “How can you tell when a politician is lying? When his(her) lips are moving”
This planet is too important to entrust into the hands of politicians. Multi-nationals own politicians.

True, but I’m pretty sure the right to protest, and to stand as an opposition candidate without fear for your physical well being are both less likely to be abused in other countries…
