Although I visited Germany a few times when I was younger, I never did manage to visit Berlin. I went to Taunusstein and Göttingen (as both were twinned with the towns I lived in at the time of the trip), as well as a seaside resort, however one day I would like to travel to Berlin with Ira. Anyway, the site itself is one of a collection of sites that have been created to help inform potential visitors a little about the relevant city.
The articles included were mainly quite helpful, covering all the standard details you may well want to pick up before arriving in Berlin. It was good to see some of the articles had already been commented upon, and I tried to answer one readers query regarding Turks in Berlin (see here), though I’m not certain why it was posted on an article concerning the variety of cinemas that can be found in the city?
So, if you have an urge to discover what entertainment, facilities and events occur within Berlin, check the site out now. (By the way, I should have mentioned in a my comment on the cinema article that I believe the Turks the previous commenter refers to are either 1st or 2nd generation immigrants from when there was a construction boom from the economic improvement I referred to (the Wirtschaftswunder).)
