Depending on how close the nearest WiFi spot will be to our apartment in Amsterdam, I am hoping to temporarily use this site as a sort of travel blog, so family and friends can hear about what we are up to, without having to make expensive international phone calls. I have also installed Skype onto my PDA, so, net access permitting again, should be able to speak to Irina without taking out a bank loan.
If the WiFi spots, or net cafes are too far to travel though, or if any of the three of us should become too ‘tired’ to make the trip, I will endeavour to post details when I get to Britain, so it will be a post holiday sort of travel blog. Though Dad does not yet have an ADSL connection, so my time online will be limited the first week in Britain.
Anyway, if you would like to read a selection of posts themed around people travelling, check out the links for realtravel.com - I had a quick search around their travel blog and found a couple of interesting posts on Amsterdam, as well as one on a hotel here in Astana. The writer REALLY didn’t like the brown water we get out of our taps sometimes!
