Cats seemed to enjoy clawing me, whereas dogs normally understood who was boss. Now that we have our own cats, I don't feel guilty telling them off if they mis-behave, and can happily fall asleep with them both on our bed - in the past when we crashed at Ira's parents, I could not sleep with Dasha in the same room!
