When we moved to this flat, around a year and a quarter ago, we had already chosen most of the fittings. I did not have many strong opinions, except for a couple of areas. For some reason, if I have any choice in the matter, I am quite particular about the Taps in a bathroom. I didn’t really care a great deal what colour scheme the wall tiles and floor used, however if I have a say, the taps (or faucets to my American readers, I believe) need to be shiny, big, and combined. That is to say I dislike having hot and cold water coming out from separate taps. Given my laid back attitude to most design choices within the flat, Ira and her parents seemed willing to take on board my opinions, and we ended up with a pretty groovy bathroom sink tap.
