Just in case you do not read a newspaper, or ever browse the news web sites out there, Tony Blair will be quitting as Prime Minister of Britain next week. I am not going to start droning on about his Tory-era promise to Gordon Brown re. time scales of this change over, but I am interested to hear that Tony’s political master partner, George Bush, is recommending Tony as a peace envoy for the Middle East.
If anything, I believe that Bush Jr.’s recommendation will do little for Tony’s credibility in the afflicted area, but then again, as James Wolfensohn quit the job more than a year ago, perhaps the head honchos in the area are looking for any sort of leadership?

Too Many Channels?
Over here in Kazakhstan, we have a satellite dish pointed at the Hotbird sats in the sky. Through this, we can receive about 10 English language news channels. A couple of them seem to primarily focus on business news, and often have stock news and tips.
If I were to ever make enough money over here to start considering investing in the stock market, I think I would need a couple of extra TVs, just to try and stay current with all the information feeds on offer.
Or, I could just visit the Fast Money Stock Picks web site. In a similar manner to Google News aggregating stories from news web sites, Fast Money Stock Picks takes all the information offered on CNBC’s Fast Money TV Show, and puts it in one easy to digest location, accessible any time, rather than specific broadcast times.
Not only do you have a wealth of (free) information at your finger tips, some of the posts have other investor’s thoughts posted on varying subjects - should you have any of your own questions, why not leave a note, and see what others suggest?
The theme used is easy on the eyes, though I do wonder if the site owner could perhaps use a few simple, light weight widgets to provide live stock info, or other relevant financially related information. That said, as the site is so light in terms of extras, all the pages are fast to load.
