As I was walking back up to the flat this afternoon, having hauled down a huge sack of rubbish, I noticed some blobs on a flight of stairs. Having obviously watched too much CSI, I started trying to discern the direction and velocity of the potential blood splatters. Would this evidence soon be removed by some unusual solvent? If I heard any cries from outside, should I grab a camera to document the scenes of horror? Would this turn out to be a perfectly innocent nose bleed, animal blood or evidence of some sort of gruesome horror?
No, I should get some more sleep this evening, and remember when throwing beetroot purées out to always ensure the bin bag has no holes…
