Secured Loans

(UK relevant)

If you are in the market for secured loans, then AdvanceStart may be just the site you are looking for…

You only need to fill in a few details, on one form, and the site will then check with their list of loan companies, and send you the details of which loans best match your needs, and of course, only those for which you meet the requirements.

The site itself seems well laid out, with enough links to pertinent information, without overloading you, and if you feel unsure over certain aspects of the process, the company offers a Contact Us page. Although I’m not certain on the legal ramifications of such a process, I would like to see more sites offering Instant Messaging options for those people who would like to type to someone in the company, in real-time. Not a major complaint, obviously, just a small suggestion.

Advance Start

Having done a quick couple of searches on Google, I can find no reference to people having yet experienced any problems with this company, so if I was in the market for a secured loan, I’d definitely find out exactly what sort of deals they could offer me.

Although it does mention that you may be able to borrow up to 125% of the value of your current home, I do feel obliged to caution against it - the bursting of the property market bubble, back in the 90s, really did leave a lot of people with negative equity, and no one wants to be in the situation of owing more than their house is actually worth!

That said, if you are sensible with your choices, and review the information that the site sends you, you should be able to setup a loan in no time at all.
