I think pens are vastly over rated for those of us who lack in fine hand-eye coordination. Add in the fact that I’m left handed, and you’ll often find notes written in pencil (or even more likely typed out); anything other than fast drying ink causes my spider’s sprawl to turn into a huge smear of blue or black across the page. I remember coming home from school with a hand pretty much coloured in on the side that faced the paper. God bless PCs
