Pool Tables

When ever we go to a friend of Irina’s parents, we always have a great meal, then the men go downstairs to the den, and drink some more, smoke and play pool. One of the great things about pool tables is that no language is required to use it - pick the pool cue up, whack the ball around, and hope it eventually goes in a pocket. (Apparently some people use skill, but I find that just ends up in even more embarrassment that way - spend three minutes lining up a shot just to see it go in the wrong direction I find more mortifying than just hitting the cue ball hard, and wondering where the balls will end up ;) Check back on the earlier posts here for details on the billiards game my brother and I attempted to play - think of a pool table, with lots of heavy large cue balls, and right angled corners on the pockets!

Check the link above for a comprehensive list of pool tables, from 7 to 9 foot, starting from just under $1500 up to a cent less than $3000. As well as the range of Pool tables, you will also find a range of accessories, I particularly liked the logoed balls, I’ve not seen those around before.
