(World-wide relevant :> )
If you have already heard of the term VoIP (Voice Over IP), then I’ve no doubt you will already be familiar with Vonage. However, for those of my readers that haven’t yet tried it out, let me break it down for you.
Currently, if you use a conventional phone for your voice calls, your telephone company will charge for the length of the call, and it will normally cost you quite a lot, especially for long distance and international calls. However, these is an alternative - you can use your computer’s internet connection to carry your voice call as a series of data packets, rather than down a conventional, dedicated & more expensive to use phone line.

However, you don’t actually need your computer to be on to use Vonage’s system - as long as you have mains electricity, and your internet connection is working, you are good to go!
You can call other people who still use conventional phone lines, which will be cheaper for you than using your old fashioned phone, and if the person you are calling also uses Voyage, the call is a lot cheaper still, in some cases even free!
Voyage offer a number of special sign up deals, depending on your country of residence. For my UK readers, there are currently 4 plans offered. Click the link to see which would be most suited to your needs.
