Have you ever thought about visiting Pennsylvania? Until I looked into what there was to do in the state, I had not considered it previously; however once I discovered some of the heritage of the area, especially around the time of the War of Independence, it looks more tempting. The fact that many Quaker communities once lived there, as well as a sizeable Amish population hints at the fact that religious tolerance (at least of the many flavours of Christianity) has always been at the heart of the state. Visiting Philadelphia and the Houdini museum should be a blast, and if you fancy something a bit more personal that a hotel, then you may want to look for Pennsylvania bed and breakfast.
