Noel Edmonds Is A Trend Setter!

No not his beard, nor his infamously awful jumpers, but when he hosted Multi-Coloured Swap Shop (or more specifically when Cheggers presented the Swaporama sections) all those years ago, it appears he foretold the future of consumerism some 25 years later.
If you visit SwitchPlanet.com, you can see that the ideals have lived on - if you have books, computer fames, music or movies that you no longer want, you can see if anyone out there wants them. If they do, you are ready to initiate a switch!
The only cost involved at any point in the process is the actual postage to send it to the recipient - the site, forums and social groups are all free to join.
If you are at all concerned that you may end up getting a raw deal, you will find that the swap items in question are valued in Switchbucs - if your book was only $10, you would hardly expect to be able to swap it for a hardbook edition of a rare book worth $120, would you? Similarly, if no one has anything you want right now, you can still send you unwanted media to someone else, and be credited for it. That way, in the future if someone has something you want, you can then receive it due to your previous deal. The actual value of a Switchbuc fluctuates, according to the market at the time, however at the time of writing this post, 99c equates to 2 Switchbuc.
