New ISP?

If there wasn’t such a monopoly in place with both the general telecoms industry, and broadband internet connections specifically, then this country would seem to be perfect for those people looking for a small business opportunity to invest in. Although the potential is there, the lack of expertise and financial clout on my part means it was only a short lived pipe dream that a friend bought up :( Hey ho, on to the next idea ;)

I agree, good potential, but I guess its the same as the U.K was a few years back with BT being the only service provider, that’ll change in time. If you suddenly win the lottery, you could build a block if flats, set up a virtual ISP and require all residents to go through your company to access the internet, sound familiar ?? (obviously you need to get in with someone at Kazakh Telecom first to set up some kind of commercial arrangement !! LOL)

    “that’ll change in time”

I wish I could have that much faith in the conditions changing in this country, but unless the fat cats suddenly feel they have made enough money, or there is a _massive_ change in the way things are decided high up, I’ll not be holding my breath…
