New Income Found!

As you may have noticed, I’ve recently started writing posts sponsored by companies, and joined a few sites that provide the connection between advertisers and bloggers.
So far, in the realm of blog advertising, I’ve only really had success with two companies. As this post has been requested Smorty.com, I’ll not mention the first company’s name, but Smorty has so far been the only other company that looks promising.

The rules are quite simple, you need to write entries between 150 and 400 words long, you don’t need to pretend to love the product/site you are promoting, but obviously advertisers have the right to reject any posts that are overly-critical. You can find all the other rules at the Blogger Rules page.

Whilst some bloggers can be snooty over blogging for money, I don’t see anything wrong with it. You can see this blog’s declaration on such matters by clicking the link at the top of each page, and all posts that have been written for financial gain are categorized as ‘Interesting’. (Some companies prefer you not to make it too obvious you are writing a commercial post, so I’ve named it as ‘Interesting’ in the hope this will appease them, whilst making it obvious to readers which posts are personal ramblings, and which are written to try and introduce them to sites & services I hope they may find useful or interesting.)
