Moving And Backing Up

Category: PersonalChrisM @ 12:43 am

John has finished his two-week long extended party time for his birthday, and had another photoshoot today. I’m hoping he will post some info and pictures this week. Anyway, he hasn’t yet tried out a present he received which can move photos from a camera card onto a USB memory stick. Actually it can handle most storage mediums that utilise a USB connection, and whilst it is quite slow in transferring files, to be able to either empty full cards onto a big thumbdrive, or just back them all up, is definitely an improvement.

I keep hoping that retirement might conform toward the myth that life will become quieter. Thankfully it does not, and I still don’t seem to have enough hours in the day (at a leisurely pace)to comlete all that I have to do. I fully intend to revitalise my blog in the next few days – and my web-site, so look out for an avalanche of photographs. My apologies to Chris, Irina and Anna for not making the book on Irina’s pregnancy. It will be a priority of mine in the next few weeks, and at least we can work on it together over the net (I hope). Some of the pictures will be included on my blog. It’s going to be hard to see them all leaving Wales – especially not having Anna’s beautiful smiles each morning. I wish them a safe and pleasant journey home – and trust that Anna will keep up the standard set by always travel Business Class.

Hopefully we’ll get the blog and gallery to your liking in the next few weeks, though it may have to wait until we’ve moved back into the flat. Sorry we didn’t have time to go through it back in Clydach, similarly I hope you get on OK with your memory card backup/storage system. Miss you all…
