Miss Tieping Wrods

I occasionally have problems spelling apparently easy words. For example, similar is never correctly typed, and unless I have a spell checker in use, often appears as similair for some reason. I have a similar issue with those dove like birds that are not white - pigeons, or as originally typed, pidgeons. Anyway, as a requested link included the word, if not the same meaning, I actually had to check with a couple of internet searches that Pigeon Forge vacation rentals was indeed spelt correctly. God bless Google, wiki and the FireFox spell checker :)

‘Similair’ sounds hopelessly French, and ‘pidgeon’ is apparently a cross of ‘pigeon’ and ‘pidgin’ (creole language). :)
P.S. I have problems with ‘definite’.
