Medical Alert Bracelet

(Canada Relevant)

When seniors (as in Old Aged Pensioners, not in the academic sense :) ) and their families need to consider what to do when their bodies are not as fit and able as they once were, a medical alert bracelet can sometimes mean the difference between choosing a residential care home, or having a few more years of independence. The idea is quite simple, should the worst happen, and the OAP has a fall or knocks their leg badly, rather than worrying about whether they can make it to the phone, and place a 911 call, the bracelet, when it’s trigger button is pressed, will place the call for them. The system involves a speaker phone-like attachment, which can normally even be used from another room. If for any reason your elderly relative is unable to respond to the operator, the standard procedure is for a medical team to be sent to the registered address.
You can either rent the units, or buy them outright, and of course pay online. However, if you prefer, you are also able to pay in person at any of their Shoppers HomeHealthCare stores, or mail/fax/phone in your order. The monthly subscription is affordable, especially when you consider the peace of mind this system will bring you and your family.
