One of the problems with buying anything in Kazakhstan is that you will still not find many places who give a lot of customer service, once you have actually paid for something. As an example, we have some Mailboxes on the ground floor of our block of flats. Nothing too unusual there, except our lock was broken before we even moved in, which is obviously not very good for security, mail-wise. We reported the problem, only to be told that they were not actually mailboxes. We now have numbers on the front of each box, and I can not imagine what else people would use them for, but we still have no lock there

Forgot to update the post, we now have a lock on the mailbox
Strange things is all the bills that are delivered are just stuck inbetween the flat’s front door and the door frame - nothing personal, the whole block has this done. Quite why do this, even with the flats that have no one living in them, and therefore the bills just pile up until they fall on the floor, is beyond me.
