When you look at the majority of residential construction currently taking place here in Astana, you will see that a lot of them are luxury homes, or at the very least not affordable by many of this city’s inhabitants. Whilst prestige homes look good when visiting dignitaries are given a tour of Astana (time for the roads to be shut down, and multiple policemen to be posted at each and every traffic lighted junction ), until an average couple can actually afford to move into their own place, many people actually living in this country will not be truly satisfied.
