Happy Men’s Day! (Although strictly speaking it is Defender of the Fatherland Day/Army Day, but people seemed to want to have a partner for the upcoming International Women’s Day.) This is a day that is mainly celebrated in Russia and former Soviet states, though there is an international version that is celebrated in November (see the wiki entry here – though that page seems to ignore DotF day being a Men’s Day by default). Anyway, whether you are hoping for your favourite meal this evening, or even simply a hug and kiss from your beloved this morning, I hope this day finds you well, and that you manage to spend some time with those dearest to you.
