Richard Hammond = Hamster. The nickname gets used reasonably often in Top Gear. Hammond is short, and almost rhymes with hamster. I'll check out the Aussie Top Gear once I get back to a decent internet connection - torrents kill all network activity over here :(

Hamster? I don't quite get where the hamster comes in. Anyway, just thought I'd say that due to Top Gear being very popular in Australia they have just recently started up their own Top Gear Australia. It's very similar indeed and takes virtually the same format, even to the extent of having their very own Stig. I'm not sure that they should have called him the same thing though, Mat and I reckon Stig'o or something Aussified would have been better but other than that it works pretty well. The presenters obviously take a little getting used to as you just can't replace Jeremy Clarkson's dry wit but all in all it's definately worth watching. Check it out some time.
