Last Friday I met more English people than any other time I've been in Kazakhstan (2 years). I went virtually a whole year before really meeting any other brits when I moved here as I was not connected with the embassy or a British/UK company. re: the fish and chips, that really gave me something I missed about the U.K, one of the other things being wide open green areas, i.e. parks, to run or kick a ball around ! bit lacking in Astana !! hopefully they'll put together a park like that at some point cos there sure is plenty of sun to enjoy it !
