I’ve read around the subject before, but this is the first time I’ve come away less confused, more informed!
Although Google’s patents are in the public domain, it takes some skill to analyse them, and explain the processes without overusing acronyms and buzz terms.

Thanks for the kind words and the link. I hope my article helped. Search engine page ranking, not just with Google, continues to be complex and not exactly a predictable formula.
Concentrate on blogging about what you are a specialist in, setting yourself up as an expert, and write keyword rich content, focused on your audience, and let search engines do what they will. As long as your audience is happy, and you keep them coming back for more and telling their friends, page rank will take care of itself.
