F1 Starting Shake Up?

Category: In The MediaChrisM @ 8:45 pm

Whilst I would never categorize myself as a devotee of Formula One racing, I quite happily sit down and watch it from start to finish if I find it on TV whilst flicking around. Anyway, came across this article that mentioned Patrick Head is again suggesting reverse placement when it comes to race starts. Currently, those drivers that qualify fastest start at the front the queue of cars when it comes to the real race. If the cars behind it are not capable of equalling the qualifying times, how likely is it that they’ll be able to overtake them in the real race? Although there will be objections, I hope the FIA will seriously consider this option in an attempt to inject a little more excitement and thrills into the race.
