One thing I have slowly noticed walking round the streets of Astana is the increase in Western style funny t shirts, normally with English phrases. (To be honest, I could be seeing Russian ones, but I’d not be able to read and translate them in time, unless someone is stood opposite me for a while. The barman at the A8 night club does seem to wear the same shirt each time we go there, it says something along the lines of ‘Flair Is My Drug Of Choice’. He is quite a character, and enjoys mixing cocktails and serving drinks in a flamboyant manner. Anyway, more on him and the club another day…
