EHS - Planet Wide Karma

The first reaction many people have when they come across the acronym EHS is something like ‘Whats that?’. In case you fall into that category, let me take a moment to explain why it is quite important… EHS stands for Environmental Health & Safety - in a similar way to Health and Safety laws in Britain are aimed at ensuring that workers have a clean and safe (so far as is possible) environment to work in, EHS is focused on the effects that companies can have on the entire environment, not just the localised area that the production is actually set in, be it a factory, office or open air.
With all the regulations involved, it can be difficult for medium sized companies to stay on top of it all, which is where EHS Compliance Software comes into play, ensuring that a company understands it’s obligations, and is able to meet them. Even larger companies will often find there is a knowledge gap between the technically minded IT professionals who build and run their own internal systems, and those who have a deep understanding of EHS.
This is where EDSG (Environmental Data Solutions Group) and their EHS Software implementations come into play - bridging the knowledge gap. Without EHS rules and regulations, companies can easily cause damage to the environment, and so eventually to people like you and I, without even realising it.
