Cooling Down Finally

Category: PersonalChrisM @ 3:27 am

Both personally, and the flat itself… I’ve not yet posted the pictures from our camping trip over the weekend, but I got quite badly sun burnt on my head, and ended up getting a little ill. Anyway, I’ll learn in the future that just because hair used to cover my whole head, I don’t have automatic life-long protection from sun burn, and will start applying the sun block a little more liberally.
Secondly, we finally got around to checking the instruction manual on our air conditioning unit (OK, that ‘we’ is a lie, I left it to Ira – I was too paranoid about blowing up my saviour from 27/28 degree working conditions) on how to clean it. So now we can turn it on for the first time this year, and as I write this post, the flat has already cooled down to a nice 23 degrees. All round, a cool day 🙂

Dare I suggest a wig for outdoors???

Much discussion between your Mum and Auntie Jean last night about what type of hat might suit you best ! Jean sees you in a Panama, which, she assures use, has the added advantage of being easily folded into the pocket when not in use. Your Mum fought your corner stating that you are not a “hat person”. I, being of the Dilbert school of thinking, suggested that a range of wigs to suit all occasions would be the answer. The choice is yours !

Thanks to all for the suggestions, I do in fact own one hat I occasionally wear when out in the sun for long periods of time. I shamefully neglected to wear it on the camping trip though. It is one of those floppy ones that can be folded into a big pocket, unfortunately it stayed in my rucksack the whole trip.

….and did you put any cream on?!!!!……shades of your youth here! Couldn’t quite see you in a panama!

Yes, I did, factor 60 in fact! Just not on my neck nor the top of my head for some bizarre reason. Lesson (re)learnt…
