Sometimes I get asked to place particular oddly worded phrases in a post here on this blog. For example, my current assignment has asked for “charlotte cosmetic dentist” to be used. Rather than choosing something that approaches natural language, the companies want to ensure they rank well for certain search terms. In some cases, you can just use a normal sentence, and not place an additional comma where you would normally see one. Rather than create a story about a woman named Charlotte and her childhood dream of becoming a dentist, or asking if anyone in a certain city needs work done, I thought I would explain why you sometimes see unusual phrases linked to from this site…
