Are You A Fan Fan?

With the weather slowly getting warmer here in Kazakhstan, and our building maintenance guys decreeing that no road-facing flats shall be allowed to install visible air-conditioners, I’ve recently started looking at other options…

One of the most obvious choices are ceiling fans. Although they do not actually lower the ambient temperature in the room, sometimes all you need is little movement of air to cool you down. Since we last looked at them in Britain, there appear to be greater choice available, with some interesting designs. For example, if you pop along to the casablance ceiling fans page over at Farreys, you’ll see a huge variety of styles, hopefully able to match up with your own interior design scheme.

Farreys ceiling fans

Whether you know the exact model you want, or only have a vague idea of your needs, Farreys have systems in place to help you find what you need. One piece of info I found, that I’d not known previously was that ceiling fans can be set to re-circulate the hot air in a house in the winter, thereby saving you on your heating costs!
