All my sites are down. Bluehost server had a disk crash. They restored the backup. Which was totally empty. Waiting for America to wake up.

Ahhhhh, this might explain why people have been having their emails bouncing back when they try sending to me. (Sorry, just sent you some emails about it – should have known to have checked here first).
It’s odd as I can send emails fine and Mat has no issues at all so can’t be all Bluehost accounts.

e-mail seems fine, at least on my account, I appear to have lost all e-mails from yesterday, but I’ve tested today and receiving seems OK. Speak later…

Are you making fun of Americans again?

1) Again???
2) Nope, it was referring to the time difference, they didn’t look at the e-mail until someone was in the office during business hours.

Just joking, I caught your meaning.

Ah OK, just wanted to make sure we didn’t have a transatlantic barney kicking off 🙂

ok that explains just a list of folders when I wanted to show your site to someone yesterday! oh well I guess if you get 99.x % availability of your site over a long period, nothing too much to grumble at. It happens.
D.

It doesn’t 99.9% availability, and bluehost are a little more cunning than guaranteeing that… they offer 99.something% NETWORK uptime, not specific site availability.
There are worse hosts around, certainly, and the price isn’t bad, especially if you are a new customer.
