Alex Has A New Hole!

Category: PersonalChrisM @ 12:05 pm

(Photo credit details updated – see my last comment from the 14th October. Thank you Rivjejn basically)

I just spoke with Alex online, and she informed she has a new piercing πŸ™‚
No pictures just yet, but is apparently a lip ring, not one of those chavvy (Marilyn) Monroe studs, thankfully. Her multiple ear rings were part of the inspiration for my own, back when I was at school. Anyway, hopefully the piercer used disposable gloves, and the wound will heal well and quickly.

Lip Piercing – not Alex, just the first semi-decent image I could find online… Anyway, due to the time difference in Australia, Alex is now heading out from work to the traditional Friday BBQ – I hope she enjoys her snags!

Come on Alex – lets have a piccie !!!!

  2. Alex C says:

Actually I haven’t got a ring yet, I’ve started with a subtle stud in the middle of my lower lip and once it heals I can opt to change it for a ring if I’m feeling in the mood to make a statement.

I was going to take a picture on the first day but then thought I better wait until the swelling goes down. Now that has happened but it is still a little red so I might wait a little longer before I reveal it to the whole world πŸ™‚ This picture above is quite artistic; I was wondering how I was going to photograph it without making the picture look like a ridiculous self-taken mug shot – this may just be the way!

  3. ChrisM says:

Following this post, when Ira and I went out on Saturday night, we saw a guy with two studs in his bottom lip. It is rare enough to see blokes with ear rings over here, so either the youth are beginning to experiment with personal appearance, or he was another foreigner…
PS Alex, couldn’t you ask Mat to take the photo for you?

  4. JohnK says:

Alex – little tip for the photo – avoid flash. Side on light through a net curtain window can be good. If you pay my expenses, I’ll come out to Oz and take it for you. XXJohn

  5. ChrisM says:

Sounds like a bargain to me.

Tip for John, check the boxes when you submit a comment on this site, as currently some of them have my name on them, until I edit the comment manually.
If it says ChrisM, my e-mail address and this site’s address, you need to alter it to yours…

  6. JohnK says:

Thank you my Guru. My powers of observation need a lot of work !

  7. Amanda says:

    Ohh mii.
I freaking love piercings like this.
I want it done so badly. πŸ™‚

  8. ChrisM says:

So what sort of piercings do you have right now Amanda, and what is stopping you from getting the lip one done (money, boss, partner, fear)?

  9. chelsea says:

    this is the shit.

  10. ChrisM says:

I’m hoping that the inclusion of ‘the’ makes that a positive statement πŸ™‚

  11. John K says:

OK – oh great techy guru ! How do i change this Union Jack to a Welsh Flag. Still waiting for a piccie Akex?

I’ve got some new piercing photos – must dig them out and add them (somewhere!)

  12. ChrisM says:

You can’t change the flag. This blog checks your IP address and looks up which country it came from. As Pipex use the same IP addresses for all of Britain (AFAIK), it can’t tell Welsh/Scottish/English apart.
It could be worse… SocialSpark (one of the schemes I use) currently has a St George Flag next to my name, even though I’ve select Great Britain!

I haven’t seen any sign of Alex’s piercing photos on her blog either πŸ™

You now have a nice choice of whether to add your photos to the blog (click here) or your gallery (click here).
(Yes I know that YOU know where they are, but I’m hoping other visitors will want to check them out πŸ™‚ )

  13. Rose says:

hey, i love your positioning i think its the exact one that i want on my right side, but can i see a larger photo:)?
thanks so much, it looks awesome:)

  14. ChrisM says:

Sorry Rose, see the original post above…

not Alex, just the first semi-decent image I could find online… Anyway, due to the time difference in Australia, Alex is now heading out from work to the traditional Friday BBQ – I hope she enjoys her snags!

Sadly, I can’t provide any more photos from that piercing – it was just the first one I could find online that looked right to me.

  15. ChrisM says:

OK, it looks as though this originally came from DeviantArt

Lip Piercing by ~rivjern on deviantART

I actually picked up the picture from a blogspot blog originally, but if you go and register at deviantart, you may be able to download the higher res version there, and possibly get in contact with the piercee πŸ™‚

  16. Simone says:

It looks very nice, sexy too.

  17. Rose says:

    hey, thanks for reply:D
i reckon it would look fucking awesome as a vertical in that placing:d thats what i wanna get
or that one with a horseshoe but i like that spot better than the regular boring more to the centre ones like snakebites, way overrated and boring.

  18. ChrisM says:

I’ve cut down on my piercings a lot over the years. Working in a few closed-minded offices, having a few go bad/get torn out (never with malice), and finally living here in Kazakhstan has meant that a lot have gone.

    I had…
six or seven standards in my left ear
one in the tragus of left ear
couple (or one? been too long to remember) in the nose
    eyebrow bar
    three standards in right ear
one in that bit above the tragus on right ear
    couple in my left nipple

I now have the following left…

    five standards in left ear
    two standards in right ear
one in that bit above the tragus on right ear

I don’t have the stomach required for a male belly button piercing to look right, and would never dream of voluntarily getting anything below the waist (I have a phobia of needles in general). I’ve occasionally dabbled with the idea of getting the bridge of my nose pierced horizontally, but not done it yet.

  19. Rose says:

ahh the old days. stupid adult normal life which stops people from being themselves, where we just listen to someone above us or we dont get anywhere in this”society”.im lucky im still just a kid at 15 and ill stay a kid forever:)

  20. ChrisM says:

I’m lucky over here – I don’t speak enough Russian or Kazakh to understand people ‘above’ me πŸ˜‰ If I do happen to understand them, I can always play the dumb foreigner card.
Keep your beliefs, but don’t end up cutting your nose off to spite your face πŸ™‚

  21. Alex C says:

Wow, is amazing this post has sparked off a long thread of conversaton. Or maybe not so amazing as it’s one of those subjects everyone has an opinion on be it love piercings or hate them.
I have never been so amazed at the lack of interest or simply lack of observation of piercings over here in Australia. It is the only reason I decided to get my lip pierced as although I have wanted it done for years, with the stuck up predudiced way of thinking, from employers topmost, in the UK I just wouldn’t have got away with it in an office.
Over here it’s a different story though. Only one person commented on its presence after I got it done and it wasn’t until about 4 weeks later, when Hayley, the girl who trained me and spent a lot of time with me, came back off holiday. Aussies being Aussies they would not pass up an opportunity for taking the piss or something had they made the observation.
Anyways, thought I’d drop back in on the thread and make my contribution and also to say I have not yet got around to making a post or taking a picture yet but will post back here when I do. I think there may be a few sneaky normal pics of me around my blog that may show it if you look closly.

  22. Rose says:

yea man thats too true, well i havent had any experience with the reputation of pierced people in other countries, but i would have thought it more accepted in england, but i see now it isnt..perhaps aussies have just figured out that its not really a big thing.

  23. John K says:

Alex, I understand your “office” comment. When I was working as a Team Manager with a Local Authority my line Managers tried to get me to “inform” my team that they had to conform to a so called professional standard of dress etc. When I had hair – and very lomg hair at that – I also met with the same crap prejudices from the great and the good. My team dressed as they liked. It did get a bit interesting at times, but I let it go over my head. The world judges too much on appearances. The suits are responsible for most of the problems. Be yourself – and bollocks to the critics!

  24. ChrisM says:

@Alex – looking forward to seeing your pics. This post has received a lot of traffic (and therefore comments were more likely) because it ranks pretty well in google image searches for piercing pics and other related phrases. That is why I wanted to find the original artist (see comment 15) to ensure credit was given where it is due.
@Rose – Not all English people are like that, Alex worked in office environments that were in certain sectors that don’t have a reputation for being progressive.
@John – you back from the Gower already? Hope you had a great time, I’m sure we’ll speak soon πŸ™‚

  25. Emo-Guy-Luver says:

I need a piercing like that…it looks hott.

  26. ChrisM says:

So are you an Emo Guy that is a lover or a lover of Emo Guys, or both?

Our friend (Alex) will soon be over in the UK again, so I’ll hopefully be able to post a picture, finally πŸ™‚

  27. vicky says:

symfono apolyta…. einai apla goysta toy kathenos,ki egw exw sta xeili kai to goustarw poly…..^^^

  28. ChrisM says:

I have no idea what that means, but hopefully someone, somewhere, sometime will, and hopefully reply to you…

  29. John K says:

    Well, it’s not Welsh!

Alex, I forgot to photograph your piercing while you were here in Wales! O me miserum ! Now that’s a good reason to return. I think I’ll have to go on at a series of piercing photos. Now can I catch Chris while he is still sleeping?

  30. ChrisM says:

Greek it turns out, but I didn’t find any translation tools that take Greek words transliterated (correct term?) into Latin characters, they only process original greek alphabets.
    hey ho

  31. Oleg Frantsuzov says:

    My de-latinisation guess:

    β€œ??????? ???????… ????? ???? ?????? ??? ???????, ?? ??? ??? ??? ????? ??? ?? ???????? ????…”

Which, according to Google Translate, means:

“Agreement on ABSOLUTE… is simply tastes of each, and my lips and I like much…”

  32. Oleg Frantsuzov says:

IM IN UR WORDPRESS, DESTROYING YR UNICODE!!!11

I see why Vicky had to type the comment using latin alphabet.

Anyway, my guess is here: http://codepad.org/zRcbbMt8

  33. ChrisM says:

Unicode? lmao. Sadly not in use. I have problems with Swedish hangovers I think. I attempted a repair on a temp. clone of this site. It worked. I could use interesting non-Latin characters. I also lost 50% of any long posts πŸ™
codepad.org … will have to remember that one, ta.

When I originally commented I clicked the -Notify me when new feedback are
    added-

checkbox and now each time a remark is added I get four emails
    with the same comment.

Is there any manner you possibly can take away me

    from that service? Thanks!

    • ChrisM says:

There should have been some sort of unsubscribe link, but perhaps because your original user name and URL has been assumed to be spam by two different plugins in operations on this blog, this was blocked? I’ve looked through the subscriptions, but I can find none with the e-mail address you’ve just used, let me know which one you entered originally, and I’ll remove it. That said, it has been almost four years since the last comment here, so I’m thinking this may well be just a (much more than the normal dross I see here) cleverly crafted spamming comment.
