Whilst double checking how to spell ‘Baiterek’ I came across some 3D models of buildings around that area. I will have to install the Google Sketchup application I downloaded a while back, but it will be worth it to see just what sort of level of detail there is in these models.
The page can be found here, where you will also find a satellite map of the area, which can be useful to give you an idea of scale.

Just wondering if you found out the correct spelling of “Bayterek” because I noticed you have spelt it “Baiterek” but I’ve been using the former spelling. Then again, I wouldn’t be surprised if either is correct

Have a search for some of Oleg’s comments on this blog, he recently gave details of the two spellings that are commonly used. When I wrote this post, I just lifted the spelling used on the actual page I linked to…
